Do you like to talk farming, agronomics and rural life? Here's your chance to do it on a national platform.

For the past 20 years, DTN has followed farmers from two different regions of the country throughout the growing season through a column called View From the Cab. Now we're looking for farmers for the 2025 View From the Cab feature.

Here's how it works. Each week throughout the growing season, the selected View From the Cab farmers report what's happening and explore different aspects of agriculture. A DTN reporter interviews the farmers and files a combined story. Farmer participants are volunteers, and involvement includes being willing to respond to deadlines and allow visits to the farm. Interested farmers must be willing to be photographed and assist in gathering photos during the season.

This past year, the series went to Kentucky, where Quint Pottinger farms near New Haven, and to Idaho to learn more about Dan Lakey and his farming operation near Soda Springs. It was a season fraught with weather challenges for both farmers. In total, nearly 30 articles covered a range of topics from farm finances to embracing what's fun in life from May through November. Find the summary of those articles here: https://www.dtnpf.com/….

The View From the Cab feature is special because it allows a deeper dive into technical and human aspects of farming and explores the unique geographies of farming regions. So far, the feature has highlighted farming operations from 20 states. Many of these farmers go on to be trusted advisers and help other DTN writing projects, webinars and podcasts.

Do you have a story to tell? Simply email a note to pamela.smith@dtn.com saying why you want to be a View From the Cab contributor and some details about your farm. Include your contact information.
